Sophie Pitchford (left College in 2009)

Sophie came to College from St James School. She thoroughly enjoyed her time at the North Campus as an A level Travel and Tourism student, whilst at College she had a part time job at the Albert Halls in Bolton. She then went on to study International Resort Tourism Management at Blackpool and the Fylde College. Sophie has now come back to Bolton and has a job once again at the Albert Halls as a Box Office Administrator which she finds extremely rewarding, as each day brings new challenges. The skills she learned on the Travel and Tourism course have helped to increase her confidence and enable her to deal with all the customer enquiries. Well done Sophie!

Max Stannard (left College in 2008)

Max came to College from Smithills School. Whilst at College he was an active member of the Student Union and helped organise several successful events. He went on to study at Lancaster University and gained a BA First Class Hons. Degree in Music. Whist at University he was President of the Music Society and conducted two of the society’s ensembles. He was also the main organiser of the UniBrass, the first brass band contest for university brass bands. Max is currently studying for a PGCE (Secondary Education) in Music at Manchester Metropolitan University.
