 Learning to Suit You!

When you join the College you will be seen as an individual with your own goals and potential to achieve. Our aim is to respond to your needs and create a supportive, challenging and enjoyable learning environment.

Pastoral Care

Senior Tutors support our students’ needs and each student is placed in a tutor group, which meet twice a week, and is led by a Senior Tutor; an experienced specialist who is there to guide students through the successes, challenges and opportunities that present themselves during the different stages of life as a sixth former.

In addition to the academic and pastoral care provided by their Senior Tutor many students also benefit from the additional and particular pastoral expertise offered by the College’s Learning Mentors. Their role is to look after the wider pastoral and welfare needs of students and undertake a complementary, but separate ‘wrap around’ pastoral care role to support students and provide access to advice offered by external specialist agencies.

Health Drop in Service

The College has health drop in centres on both campuses which are run by trained nurses and offer guidance and advice to all students including motional, social and sexual health care. All consultations are treated with the strictest confidence.
