The future’s bright for our Health & Social Care studentsDate Posted: 30/10/2018 | Posted In: A Level, College News, Student News
In September, students who were studying for the Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, had the opportunity to apply for the Futures Academy programme and were recommended by their teachers for an interview. With access to NHS employer talks, internships and trips to universities and beyond, this group of students will be highly ‘work ready’ when they complete their courses and very competitive in the local and regional job markets or in their applications to Higher Education.
This year marks the first year in a collaboration with The Beaumont Hospital where students will undertake a week’s placement within the Hospital. Students will work in a variety of departments such as clinical governance, pharmacy, physiotherapy all whilst working alongside qualified staff.
We wish our cohort the very best in what promises to be another exciting year for our students!
