SHARE Flash Fiction 50 Creative Writing Awards

We are pleased to announce the SHARE Flash Fiction 50 Creative Writing Awards in support of BSFC #RucksacksandHandbags campaign. There was an amazing response from our English students who wrote over 50 poems. The 10 winners are Ashiya Patel, Cheila Quissanga, Desya Owuso Mpedworo, Faizan Patel, Fawwaz Atcha, Masroor Patel, Matilda Bennett, Mohammed Butt, Mohammed Ibrahim, Obied Khalid. 1st year students Satiya Yaya and Joshua Mullineux have also been nominated as SHARE Poet Laureates 2018. Congratulations to Amber Berry, Hajira Riaz and Satiya Yaya who are winners of the World Human Rights Day 2017 poetry competition.

A special mention also goes out to James Copper who has been nominated for the SHARE Community Champion role for his sterling work promoting the #RucksacksandHandbags campaign around the wider Bolton community.

Billy Higham from Thornleigh Salesian College, was presented with the SHARE Community Champion Award for his amazing work in the Tonge Moor community. Billy creates ‘blessing bags’ containing everyday essentials for distribution within the community.
