Update: January BTEC Exams

Up until yesterday the government guidance was that January examinations were to continue as planned. However, from the announcement last night, Colleges were given the option whether or not they feel it is in the best interests of their students, their families and their staff to continue with these examinations or not.

The Sixth Form’s Senior Management team have been in discussion and consultation with staff since this announcement. We reached the conclusion, that although this will disappoint many students who have worked hard to prepare for these exams, it is in the majority interest of our communities that we take the option to cancel all expected BTEC January exams and all arrangements for any preparatory examination lessons. Communications have been sent direct to those students affected by the latest decision.
