Student Voice

Bolton Sixth Form College fosters a supportive learning environment, with outstanding teachers who are extremely dedicated to their students. The college encourages independent learning outside of the classroom, developing students’ ability to take control of their own learning, a critical skill at university and beyond. In addition, the college has a great support network which ensures that every student will get the help they need. After being encouraged by College staff to apply for the Oxford Pembroke North Project, I attended a summer school at Oxford where I engaged with new subjects and experienced intensive research-based learning. Armed with my new skills, I applied to Oxford and have been offered a place to study BA (Hons) Archaeology & Anthropology.
