Boys Academy Season Overview

The Sixth Form boys Academy have had a successful debut season in the ECFA North-West Premier 2a Division. Fantastic results against Newcastle Under Lyme, Burnley College and Blackpool & Fylde College, along with many more, have helped B6 to establish themselves as force in the division.

County Squad

The Sixth Form boys Football Academy players were selected for the county squad as a result of a successful trial with the team.

Soccer Icon American Scholarship College Links

The Sixth Form Boys & Girls Academy students have the opportunity to take part in American Scholarship trials with Joe McLaughlin from Soccer Icon.

As Director of Soccer, Joe will be responsible for the assessment of every player who is accepted onto the Soccer Icon scholarship programme. Joe will also be responsible for promoting all Soccer Icon players to USA college coaches. He will also be the main contact for all recruiting USA coaches and will be delighted to assist every coach to find the right player for their programme.


Boys Academy Development Tour of Blackburn Rovers

The Sixth Form Boys Academy Development squad enjoyed a tour of Blackburn Rovers F.C Academy. The squad got to meet various members of the coaching staff and see different areas of the facilities including the performance analysis suite, fitness suite and football pitches. The tour helped the Boy’s Academy Development squad to gain an insight into the day to day operations involved in a professional football club.

As part of the tour they played a friendly match vs Moorland Sixth Form, a team which consists of football scholars linked to Blackburn Rovers F.C, drawing the game 3-3. Moorland Sixth Form visited Hacken Lane for a return fixture which ended in a 5-4 victory for BSFC Boys Academy Development.

Boys Academy Development Squad Season Overview

The Sixth Form Boys Academy Development have had a successful debut season in the ECFA North-West Premier 3a Division. This tough division includes Academy College teams such as Wigan & Leigh and Burnley College.

Girls Academy Season Overview

The Sixth Form Girls Academy have had another successful season winning the league for the second year in a row. The Girls Academy won 10 of their 12 games finishing 9 points above the second placed team.

Representative Honours

Previous captain of the Girls Football Academy Kerry Hope won the FA Womens Premier Northern Division League. After completing her BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching & Fitness, Kerry has taken up a coaching role in America.

Murron Alldread of the Girls Football Academy won the Under 18’s North West Premier League title with Bolton Wanderers F.C. She has been awarded with the honour of captaining the Girls Football Academy for the start of the 2017/18 season.
