Our photography students were set a task to produce images that showcases how their life has been affected or changed by Lockdown whilst at home which reflects on how it feels to be at home living a different kind of life.

They were asked to explore these possible themes that would express their emotions:

At home – during the current coronavirus crisis, how you are coping with the restrictions imposed on many people around the world? Is this a time for reflection or to spend time on a project you’ve never had time to start? Are you cooking an array of dishes or binging on box sets? How does your street feel in the evening or at night? How could you sum up your weekly outing to the supermarket?

  • Working at home – it could be an image of your workspace, be it a desk or something less permanent?
  • Reading
  • View from my window
  • View of the street
  • Social Distancing
  • VE Day Celebrations from a distance

Well done to everyone who took part and these fantastic images.

We were very impressed with the images that were sent to us by our students and wanted to share them with you and hopefully shown on the on-line exhibition as we submitted them for the SFCA competition!
