POLITICS STUDENTS VISIT UNIVERSITY OF CHESTER
Date Posted: 05/07/2022 | Posted In: Politics, Student News
Last week some of our first-year A Level Politics had a great time visiting the University of Chester for a fascinating Taster Day.
After an introduction and welcome, the students enjoyed a taster lecture by Dr Michael Francis, Programme Leader for Politics, on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The lecture by Dr Francis who has over 12 years’ experience in teaching, research and development explored the history of the conflict.
The students were then taken on a campus tour and had lunch.
In the final part of the day, the students had a thought-provoking talk via Zoom with Dalia, a Palestinian refugee who was born Bethlehem. She spoke about her experiences of growing up and living in a refugee camp and her thoughts on the conflict.
The group had a really interesting day and enjoyed their taste of studying Politics at the University of Chester. Thank you to everyone at the university for this stimulating and engaging experience.
