SHEINSPIRES FOUNDER & DIRECTOR DELIVERS LEADERSHIP TALK

Our first guest speaker to visit us on the second half of the Women into Leadership programme was Gulnaz Brennen, founder of the SheInpires Network, on 31 January.

Gulnaz is an extremely inspirational woman leader, not only did she create the massively successful SheInspires network and awards, she is also:

• an AUTHOR
• a FILMMAKER
• TEACHER
• SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR
• DIRECTOR

Gulnaz shared how she took inspiration from her mother who taught her to be fearless. The message Gulnaz gave to our students was to “believe in yourself, be true to who you are and do the right thing.” Part of the session also included an activity where students selected what qualities and traits they most look for in a leader. After using some beautifully decorated cardboard models to devise their own ideal leader, Gulnaz asked the students to become their ideal leader – “you have to become the change that you want to see”.
