Our careers department will be sharing numerous online content from both universities and prestigious companies that will provide an in-depth knowledge to our students about their future possibilities after completing their study with us.
What is National Careers Week?
National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education.
National Careers Week Empowers students
Providing quality free CEIAG resources and linking education with the world of employment to ensure students get an important insight to the future of work and further learning. Better informed students result in better decision making.
What will be available during the National Careers Week?
Our students will have access to numerous promotional videos from universities. These will be shared on student finance, UCAS and will take place during their tutor groups.
How will our students be able to access the resources?
All of the sessions that our careers team have organised during National Careers Week will be made available to students via Microsoft Teams labelled: ‘National Careers Week Teams’.
An example of the skills that our students will learn:
One of the sessions that has been planned is for Employability Skills. This is being run by an organisation called IGD (Institute of Grocery Distribution). They work with some of the largest food production/retail companies in the country, i.e. Coca-Cola & Morrisons.
