The Sixth Form Bolton Poppy Appeal 2020

The Student Council at The Sixth Form Bolton are supporting the Poppy Appeal again this year. Poppies are on sale near the Tutor Office. Please purchase all that you need for family and friends from our tutor base stall. Every poppy sold here at The Sixth Form Bolton makes a difference.

Due to concerns about the lack of funds this year, The Royal British Legion have launched The Poppy Run 2020. If you wish to take part you gain a certificate for walking, running, cycling or swimming your chosen distance. You have until Remembrance Day, 11 November to take part. For a small donation of £2, we are encouraging staff and students to take part. All students who do take part will be entered into a prize draw.

The Student Council intend to keep a ‘total Sixth Form Mileage’, so if you take part please send your total distance to studentcouncil@bolton-sfc.ac.uk and we would also love some pictures of you or your family doing this as well!

The Royal British Legion do some amazing work to help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families. For the 2020 Poppy Appeal, tribute will be paid to the men and women of the Second World War generation, and to those of today’s, who have served and sacrificed to defend our nation. We remember the collaboration of the Commonwealth and Allied nations who stood shoulder to shoulder then to secure our freedom and the communities coming together today to protect us all.
