Dear Parent/Carer/Guardian/Student,

In order to continue to mitigate the risk of the spread of COVID-19 in The Sixth Form and our local communities, we are implementing the following steps from 4pm on Wednesday 12 May (today):

All A level Year 2

Once a student has completed their final assessment in their A2 subject(s) they are now no longer required to attend The Sixth Form. Any additional planned special activity lessons will now take place online.

BTEC/UAL Year 2

Once a student has submitted their final assignment in their BTEC subject and have been advised by their teachers that they are completed they are now no longer required to attend The Sixth Form for lessons. Some students may be required on premises at times to work on any resubmissions needed and they will be informed of this on an individual basis.

CPLD Year 2 students are still required to continue as directed by their teachers.

EPQ

All EPQ lessons are now finished, students are no longer required to attend.

Core Mathematics

All Core Maths final assessments have now been completed, Core Maths Lessons are now finished for all students in all years, students are no longer required to attend.

GCSE English and Mathematics

All GCSE final assessments have now been completed, GCSE English and Maths Lessons are now finished for all students in all years, students are no longer required to attend.

BTEC Level 2

Once a student has submitted their final assignment in their BTEC subject and have been advised by their teachers that they are completed they are now no longer required to attend The Sixth Form for lessons. Some students may be required on premises at times to work on any resubmissions needed and they will be informed of this on an individual basis.

Tutor Meetings

All tutor 1:1 exit meetings with Year 2 students will take place online.

These measures will significantly reduce the numbers of students on site at any point and we also ask that any student whose lessons have finished for the day vacate the premises as soon as they can.

Face Coverings from 17 May 2021

The compulsory wearing of face coverings in all areas and classes will remain in place after the 17 May, despite national guidelines.

LFD Tests

We will continue to provide LFD home tests to students and actively encourage them and their families to participate.

Please be assured that we are continuously monitoring the Bolton situation and are in regular contact with the relevant authorities regarding any developments and will continue to follow government advice.
