B6 WOMEN INTO LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME 2022-23 LAUNCH

The B6 Women into Leadership Cohort 2022-23

Last week we launched our fabulous B6 Women into Leadership Programme with a engaging and thought-provoking session delivered by guestspeaker, Hywel Roberts.

Hywel is an educational speaker who describes himself as an ‘imagineer’ and someone who wants to support students to learn and be creative. His session looked at leadership and what makes a good leader and involved a fantastic hands-on teamworking exercise.

Our Women into Leadership Programme seeks to remove as many barriers as we can for our female students in order that they are able to follow their chosen paths in life and careers. The opportunities on offer aim to support our students’ personal development and social mobility.

Our programme provides a platform to enable our female learners to access support, advice and guidance from a wide range of fantastic women leaders. Last year our guest speakers included Diane Hawkins DL JP LLB, Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester; Dr (H.C) Leigh Vallance, Chief Executive of Bolton Hospice and Dr Helen Wall, GP Partner, Trainer and Bolton Covid Vaccine Programme Lead.

The students taking part in this year’s Women into Leadership programme will also be invited to attend a networking luncheon and take part in cultural trips later in the academic year.
