Keep your options open, you don’t always have to go for ‘obvious’ careers. Look around and think about what course or career will suit you, or what you will still enjoy in the future, leading you to a rewarding and fulfilling career. Don’t feel pressured to go into something you won’t be comfortable with. B6 puts students first and encourages them to get out of their comfort zone. The Careers Team gave me so much support in exploring my strengths and career options. Completing a work placement at a local Podiatry clinic was when I realised I had found my dream career. I encourage all future students to take part in work experience or volunteering to help them find the right path for them. The support from The Sixth Form was consistent, I was encouraged to work harder and I am still in touch with the Careers Team as I am a member of the Alumni and they are one of the reasons I push myself more on my university course.
