We are the only specialist Sixth Form in the town and the largest provider of academic studies in the borough.
We are officially rated Good by Ofsted and have a strong reputation for academic quality, student support, and successful progression.
We specialise exclusively in education for students aged 16–19, enabling our teachers to focus on delivering high-quality academic, vocational, and mixed programmes that meet a wide range of interests and aspirations. Our town centre campus provides excellent, modern facilities and a convenient location that supports both learning and independence.
Students are at the heart of everything we do. We offer personalised pastoral support, ensuring each learner is known, supported, and guided throughout their time with us.

Last month, a group of students from The Sixth Form Bolton graduated from Addleshaw Goddard’s Law Society programme. The Law Society is a four-month, multi-session programme designed to introduce second-year students to a range of professionals within the legal sector. It also provides opportunities to take part in work-based projects and connect with like-minded peers. In total, 29 students took part in the cohort, with eight representing The Sixth Form Bolton.
Earlier this year, students from The Sixth Form Bolton captivated audiences with an outstanding production of The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition.
A first-year student at The Sixth Form Bolton has successfully competed in a national robotics competition, representing both his college and community on a national stage.
