For queries or help with your application, please email: admissions@bolton-sfc.ac.uk
Before you start college life at The Sixth Form Bolton, you will have to complete our application form using our APPLY NOW link. This process is managed by the Admissions Team. The Admissions Team will also oversee the following key stages:
your online application
your formal offer
your course discussion (optional)
offer holders will be invited to our New Student Day
your enrolment to college
When you apply, you will create an 'applicant portal' through which future communications will be managed. The e-mail address and password you use for this will be very important, please keep these safe.
Please ensure that you use a personal e-mail address to apply (and not a school email) for the application. We will contact you through this personal email throughout your application journey regarding September 2026 admission.
Applications received by the closing date will be offered a course discussion, during which we will discuss your chosen course/s and your application in general.
Applications received after the closing date of 30 January 2026, are not guaranteed an offer or course discussion. Applications will remain on a waiting list and only invited for a course discussion should a place become available.
You will be told via email if you have been offered a place to study at The Sixth Form Bolton. Offers are either Conditional, Aspirational or No Offer. You will be asked to accept or decline your offer via your applicant portal.
Please ensure you check your inbox or junk folders for correspondence from us. Your offer, and other relevant information, can also be found on your applicant portal. So, it is really important to remember your email and password.
If you wish to change your course following receipt of your offer, please contact admissions@bolton-sfc.ac.uk to discuss further.
All offer holders are also offered a course discussion. Course discussions are ideal if you’d like a face-to-face discussion about your course choices or future options. This is also a great opportunity to discuss any support needs before you join us.
You will be instructed to book your course discussion via your applicant portal.
Don’t worry if you change your mind about your subject choices after your course discussion, you will have the opportunity to adjust them later, and final selections will be confirmed at enrolment in August (subject to entry requirements and course availability).
