Location: The Sixth Form Bolton
Start Date: 20th August 2025
Contract: Part-Time (25 hours/week), Term Time Only, Permanent Salary: £25,330 – £28,408 per annum (full-time, full-year equivalent). Actual salary is pro rata, based on part-time, term-time only basis.
About the Role
We’re looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our Finance and Payroll team. If you want to build your finance career in a modern, vibrant college setting, this is an excellent opportunity.
You’ll support the Head of Finance and Payroll in delivering essential operational processes that ensure teaching and student services run smoothly. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone organised, discreet and proactive.
Responsibilities
Process payments, income and purchase ledger transactions
Assist with reconciliations and internal financial reports
Support budget holders and maintain finance records
Communicate with suppliers and stakeholders professionally
Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data
What We’re Looking For
Finance experience in a busy environment (education desirable)
Ability to manage deadlines and large workloads
Excellent attention to detail and numeracy
Strong IT skills including Excel, SAGE 200, PRS and Spindle Capture (or similar)
Professional and discreet approach
