Talented students at The Sixth Form Bolton are celebrating excellent results and are set to advance to a diverse range of artistic courses at university. The Sixth Form Bolton takes pride in offering a variety of art, graphics, photography, performing arts, and music programmes designed not only to nurture creative potential but also to prepare students for successful careers in the industry.
Cami Wong, who attended Westhoughton High School, will be studying Illustration with Animation at Manchester Metropolitan University. She achieved A* grades in A Level Fine Art and Graphic Design, alongside an A in Sociology. Cami Said:
“The teachers here encouraged me to push my creativity further than I thought possible. I’m really excited to develop my skills in illustration and animation at university.”

Joseph Carter, formerly of Harper Green School, will study Graphic Design at Edge Hill University after achieving B grades in A Level Art, Craft & Design and Graphic Design, and a C in Drama & Theatre Studies. Joseph shared:
“The combination of practical and theory work helped me build confidence and prepared me well for my next steps. The support from staff has been brilliant throughout.”
Leah Kirkman, from Smithills School, is progressing to the University of Salford to study Graphic Design. Leah earned a B in A Level Graphic Design and Distinctions in Single Vocational Music and Performing Arts. She commented:
“Being part of this creative community has inspired me so much. The encouragement to experiment and take risks has made all the difference in my growth as an artist.”

Jolie Smethurst, who attended St James’s Church of England High School, will be studying Acting at the University of Central Lancashire. She achieved a B in A Level Drama & Theatre Studies, alongside Distinctions in Single Vocational Music Performance and Performing Arts. Jolie said:
“The practical experience and guidance I received here have given me the confidence to pursue acting professionally. I can’t wait to start my degree and continue developing my craft.”
