Another Year of Excellent Advanced Level Results

Staff and students at The Sixth Form Bolton are delighted to celebrate another year of excellent Advanced Level results. With students studying both academic and vocational qualifications performing above national benchmarks. The Sixth Form Bolton is pleased to announce an overall 98% pass rate for A Levels with 76% of all subjects achieving a 100% pass rate and 93% BTEC Extended Diploma students achieving higher-grade passes.

This year’s results reflect the motivation, application and dedication of our students and our experienced teachers and support staff. Students are celebrating achieving the grades they need to progress onto their desired destination.

The Sixth Form has one of the highest national progression rates to Higher Education out of all the categories of post-16 education and the majority of students will now secure their places at universities across the country, progressing to study a broad range of subjects encompassing: sciences, medicine, law, business, music, arts, sports and humanities. Although, many students this year are choosing to move on to Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.

Principal, Stuart Merrills, said: “I would like to congratulate all of our students on receiving their results today. We are immensely proud of their achievements, as they should be too. Many students across the years have benefitted hugely from being at The Sixth Form with its great track record for student achievements and progression and this year is no exception.

We would like to wish them all the very best for the future and to thank them for their excellent contribution to The Sixth Form, sustaining our position as a nationally high achieving Sixth Form College.”

The Principal, senior management and staff look forward to its new cohort in September and continued success.
