Second-year B6 Performing Arts Student Lands Horror Movie Role

Second-year B6 Performing Arts and Public Services student, Prima Valentina, was delighted to land a role in a horror movie by a young and newly emerging director.

Prima, who hopes to study Media and Performance at Salford University after completing her Vocational A Levels at B6, found this brilliant opportunity through a filmmakers’ networking event in Manchester City centre.

The Film, ‘The Faint Melody of Luna Waters’ is about a grieving student who is searching for answers about her family’s brutal death but returns home to find something sinister lurking in the walls. Prima plays a sinister demon ghost child that haunts the home.

Prima was really grateful for the support that the Performing Arts department at B6 have given her and said:

“This has been an absolutely brilliant opportunity for me to get involved with and has given me industry-like professional experience that is crucial to build for the acting and film industry. The Sixth Form Bolton, especially my Performing Arts tutors, have been very supportive and encouraging of me seeking out this opportunity and I will forever be grateful to them for their continuous support.

Our Performing Arts tutors are really proud of Valentina’s success with Head of Performing Arts, Samantha Lawther saying:

‘Valentina is so proactive, driven and motivated. She is always looking for opportunities and always has exciting news and stories to tell us. She is incredibly talented and we are so happy she chose to study with us. We are so proud of her accomplishments and I’m truly excited about her future. ‘
