Second-Year Sixth Form Bolton Student Secures Prestigious Degree Apprenticeship

A second-year student at The Sixth Form Bolton was delighted to recently receive an offer for a highly sought-after degree apprenticeship with Grant Thornton, a leading multinational professional services network.

Khadigah Al-Zahrah, a former student of Bolton Muslim Girls School, is currently studying A Level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at The Sixth Form Bolton. She is also part of the Honours Programme, where she achieved an outstanding A* in her Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Khadigah has secured a Level 7 Audit Apprenticeship within Grant Thornton’s pensions team in External Audit, marking an impressive next step in her academic and professional journey.

Khadigah said:

“I’m so excited to have received this offer. I always knew that I didn’t want to go down the traditional university route, and Grant Thornton is such a great organisation. The application process was actually quite enjoyable, and their HR team were really supportive. Everyone at The Sixth Form Bolton has been incredibly supportive too. Jill Whitham, Head of Careers, helped me throughout the process and provided lots of mock interviews. My Progress Coach, Andy, was really helpful, and my Psychology teacher, Mel, supported me with exam revision. I’d encourage any students at The Sixth Form Bolton who are considering a degree apprenticeship to keep their options open. There’s so much support available here, and they should definitely take advantage of it.”

Everyone at The Sixth Form Bolton is extremely proud of Khadigah’s achievement and looks forward to following her continued success.
